Chakotay awoke and stretched. He was on the floor. And the cabin wasn’t his own. But judging from the naked blond beauty curled up next to him it was Tom’s. He smiled gently and caressed Tom’s cheek. Tom stirred in his sleep and woke. Blue eyes stared sleepily at Chakotay as he yawned cutely. “Morning beautiful.” Chakotay murmured, Causing Tom to blush. “Morning yourself.” he murmured, sitting up and stretching, before leaning back on Chakotay’s chest, “I don’ wanna get up.” He complained childishly to Chakotay. “Well we have couple of hours before we have to get up.”

“Good”. Tom snuggled closer to him, burying his face in Chakotay’s neck. Chakotay began stroking him, starting at the back of his head and continuing his way down to the small of his back.

“Tom.”

“Mmmhmm?”

“Why did you invite me over?”

“Well, melody told me you loved me, and I realized I loved you and this seemed a good way to get to know you without scaring you off.”

“Why Mr. Paris, were you planning on seducing me?”

“Mmmhmm. Succeeded too.”

Chakotay chuckled. “Thankfully.” [pause] “Tom?”

“Yeah.”

“Do you- can this be a permanent thing?”

“Yes, but next time let’s use the bed.”

Chakotay chuckled, “Agreed.”

Captain Janeway was pleasantly surprised when her first officer and chief pilot entered te mess hall together. Perhaps they had finally gotten over their disagreements and become friends, she prayed. Seeing her they walked over to join her.

“Good morning Captain.” Tom said cheerfully as he sat down to the right of Chakotay.

“Good morning Lieutenant, you’re in a good mood.”

He smiled brilliantly at her. Chakotay was regarding his breakfast dubiously, “Is this stuff edible?” He asked doubtfully.

“Try the blue stuff, it’s rather mild if you eat it quickly enough.” Tom suggested.

“If you don’t mind my saying so you two seem to be getting along well.” Janeway commented. Tom and Chakotay smiled fondly at each other.

“Oh we are.” agreed Chakotay, reaching out to stroke Tom’s cheek tenderly.

“Well well, this is an interesting development.” Janeway murmured. Watching the interaction between the two men, “Am I to take it that you two are- together?”

“Mmmhmm.” Tom said happily.

“Is this a permanent thing?”

“Oh yes.”
